raining sprinkles

welcome to the randomness that is my life.

Life from Scratch by Melissa Ford

I just finished a book called Life from Scratch. I actually randomly picked this book from Amazon because it was free for the Kindle. It’s about a mid-thirties divorcee who decides to take charge of her life by learning to cook…and blogging about it. Just my style right? Haha not. But it’s actually a fun book. Totally cliche in the ending, but still…I love cliche. Generally it pisses me off when the ending isn’t happy (enter Dear John by Nicholas Sparks). Anyways, this is a cute book. Very Julie and Julia-esque. But since I love blogging and I love food, it really had to have sucked for me to not like it. So thankfully it didn’t suck :) It’s a quick read if you’re looking for something sappy and scrumptious (food-wise). My only downside about this book is that there are no recipes. I always think novels about food must include food recipes, don’t you think? Overall, I’m glad it was free, but I’m also glad I read it. I mean, realistically, this is probably a book I would have read the inside cover of at the library and probably taken home. Happy reading!
